My passion for travel began in 1980 in Salzburg, Austria, where I studied art history and photojournalism. For over five decades I've continued to traverse the globe, learning more about the destinations I love.


In that time, I have explored over 80 countries across 7 continents—always staying longer and digging deeper to find the authentic experiences most travelers miss.
